35,000 Personnel Secure Bayt Al-Maqdis Solidarity Rally in Monas

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police and military (TNI) deployed 35,000 personnel to help secure the solidarity rally for Bayt al-Maqdis in Jerusalem held by the Indonesian Coalition to Defend Bayt al-Maqdis.
"Around 35,000 joint personnel of TNI and Police will stand guard [the rally]," said the police spokesman Argo Yuwono in a press release received on Thursday, May 10, adding that Monas and Istiqlal Mosque would be the meeting points of the rally's participants.

Based on the notice received by the police, the rally with the theme 'Indonesia's movement in defending Bayt al-Maqdis and the moment of uniting the Indonesian Muslims and the World of Islam', will feature several activities.
Argo said the act would be started by performing Fajr (dawn) prayers together in Monas, followed by reciting dhikr and Quran; and then reading out oration, as well as ulema's oration; reading out the statement of principle, until performing Friday prayers.
The demonstration held in Monas is to highlight the Palestine-Israel conflict that is rooted in the struggle for House of the Holiness or Bayt al-Maqdis in Jerusalem.
