TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tempo Media Group in tandem with the House of Representatives organize a series of activities to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the nation's reform.

The event, themed “20 Years of Reform: Back to the People's House”, is held at the Senayan parliamentary complex on 7-21 May.

The event kicked off on Monday, May 7, and was opened by House speaker Bambang Soesatyo. At 14:00 the same day, a public discussion on “Activist '98 Progress as a Member of Parliament” was held.

Speakers of the event comprised deputy speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Basarah (alumnus of the Indonesian National Student Movement), House deputy speaker Fahri Hamzah (alumnus of the Indonesian Muslim Students Action Union), and Wilson Obrigados ('98 reform movement activist).

On Monday, May 7, a photo exhibition of reform also took place. The exhibition will run until May 21 at Gedung Nusantara IV Hall, which becomes the center of most activities.
