TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The victims of the fire incident in Taman Kota, West Jakarta visited today the City Hall demanding Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan revoke the eviction notice in the area. Taman Kota residents, Subakir said, had asked Anies Baswedan to fulfill his campaign promises. “During the campaign, he promised there would be no eviction, but we are evicted,” he noted.
Subakir recalled that before the fire occurred Anies had visited Taman Kota and the governor said the area would not be condemned. However, he mentioned, a condemnation notice was issued from Kembangan Sub-district, ordering the relocation of the fire victims to the flats.
