TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The workers joined in The Indonesian Confederation of Labor Unions (KSPI) will commemorate International Labor Day or May Day on May 1 in Jakarta. The president of KSPI Said Iqbal informed that the workers demand three things called Tritura Plus.
"The workers will deliver three demands collected at the TrituraPlus in the May Day's rally; [Tritura Plus is] the three demands of the workers and the people," he said Monday, April 30.
First, Iqbal said, the workers demand the government to lower the price of rice and fuel, as well as the electricity tariffs which aimed at building food and energy security.

Second, they refuse the cheap wage. KSPI asks the Government Regulation No. 78/2015 on Wages to be revoked.
Third, the laborers refuse the unskilled foreign workers (TKA) from China. KSPI wants the revocation of Presidential Regulation No. 20/2018 on the Use of Foreign Workers. "[They will] also ask to remove outsourcing and choose the 2019 Indonesian president who supports the workers," he said.

A total of 150,000 workers from Jabodetabek, Serang, Karawang, and Purwakarta will rally in front of the State Palace, Central Jakarta. The rally is to celebrate May Day 2018 and deliver the Tritura Plus. The mass gathering point is at Indosat horse statue at 10:00 am.
They also use the commemoration of the 2018 May Day as a moment to declare the 2019-2024 presidential candidates supported by the workers. Therefore, KSPI mass will move to Istora Senayan at 1 pm Jakarta time to announce their choice of 2019 presidential candidate, which is Prabowo Subianto.
