TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has said that the country’s biggest nemesis presently is the habit of wasting time, adding that time is the most valuable commodity in the world.
Jokowi said technology kept on developing as time passed and technological developments called for higher productivity.
However, the president said, many had taken for granted the productivity potentials. “It means that the present technology has made time into a priceless commodity, so we have to make the most of it,” Jokowi said in his opening address at the 2018 National Development Planning Conference (Musrenbangnas) at Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel in Jakarta, Monday, April 230, 2018.

Jokowi said among the examples of time-wasting was evident in the way the nation was operating, which was beset by bureaucratic red tape and unnecessary permits.
Jokowi added these kinds of acts persisted in the central and provincial government levels to regencies and municipalities, thus hampering potential investments.
