TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - General Election Commission (KPU) will cross out the name of the confirmed voters who does not possess the replacement letter (suket) of electronic identity card (e-KTP) and have not been registered in the population database.
"The indicator is a replacement letter, the voters [without the letter] will be crossed out and removed from the voters' list," said KPU Commissioner Viryan at his office on Thursday, April 19, 2018.
The KPU has coordinated with the Department of Population and Civil Registry. Viryan said that the KPU does not have the data of how many voters who might be crossed out.
Currently, Viryan said that the district/municipal KPU is in the process of compiling the 2018 permanent voters list before it can be recapitulated at the provincial KPU and made official in a plenary meeting at the Central KPU.
As of April 17, the number of data that has been registered in the voters data information system has reached 90 million voters.
"Of course the number will continue to increase," Viryan said.
