TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The announcement of the state university entrance selection (SNMPTN) is scheduled to take place today, April 17, at 05:00 pm which can be accessed through http://pengumuman.snmptn.ac.id/.
“We urge participants that pass the selection process to take a close look and adhere to every official announcement issued by each state universities, especially the schedule and location of the re-registration,” said 2018 SNMPTN secretary committee Joni Hermana in Jakarta today.
SNMPTN is the way to enter a State University by submitting a student’s report card meanwhile the SBMPTN, or joint entrance test for state universities, is another alternative to enter a state university through a series of entrance tests.
Furthermore, the registration period of university candidates that have passed the state university selection process is conducted during the same time as the joint entrance test for state universities (SBMPTN) which are scheduled to take place on May 8.
The purpose is, according to Joni, the students that pass the SNMPTN will no longer need to participate in the SBMPTN which would open the chance for other students to be accepted in a state university.
Other websites to view the SNMPTN announcement is through the state university's official websites such as snmptn.itb.ac.id (Bandung Institute of Technology or ITB), snmptn.ui.ac.id (University of Indonesia), snmptn.ugm.ac.id (Gadjah Mada University or UGM), and snmptn.ipb.ac.id (Bogor Agricultural University or IPB).
