TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Personnel from the Jakarta Police’s Narcotics Directorate have nabbed an ex-lawmaker of the House of Representatives [DPR] for the period 2004-2009, Arbab Paproeka, 56, in an apartment while the latter was consuming crystal meth.
Arbab was a former lawmaker of the House Commission III from the National Mandate Party [PAN] faction.
Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono has confirmed the arrest. “Yes, that’s true. He was apprehended on Friday night, April 13, 2018, at around 10.15 p.m.,” he said on Monday, April 16, 2018.

The police arrested Arbab at the Mansion Tower Capilano apartment in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta following a tip-off from a tenant. “After that, we searched the apartment,” Argo said.
From the apartment, the police seized a plastic clip containing crystal meth, a bong, six lighters, and four straws. Arbab is presently detained at the Jakarta Police’s Narcotics Directorate for further questioning.
