TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The annual culinary of Bango Food Festival 2018 is being held again at the Park and Ride Thamrin, Central Jakarta, starting from Saturday, April 14, 2018, until Sunday, April 15, 2018.
A total of 80 culinary booths from several regions in Indonesia took part in the festival area.
The festival was opened on Saturday, April 14, at 09:00 AM by the Head of Creative Economy Agency Triawan Munaf, Foods Director of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. Hernie Raharja, and Chairman of the Acceleration of Culinary Tourism and Shopping Development Ministry of Tourism Vita Datau Messakh.
From Tempo observation, the festival area looks more crowded at 12:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Visitors can be seen visiting popular culinary booth, such as Tata Ribs Daenk Tata, Pempek Nyonya Kamto, and Kebon Sirih Fired Rice.
On April 14, 2018, the festival will open until 10:00 PM, Meanwhile, on April 15, 2018, it will open from 07:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
Before visiting the Bango Food Festival 2018, these are the following points visitor should consider:
1. Ticket
Before entering the Bango Food Festival arena, you must purchase an entrance ticket for IDR 10,000 per person.
2. Entrance and exit
The entrance is only through one door, it is on the west side of the festival, namely through Jalan M.H. Thamrin, Central Jakarta. But to get to the arena, visitors can go through an alternative path, namely through Jalan Sabang or Jalan H. Agus Salim. Especially on Sunday morning, when Jalan M.H. Thamrin is closed due to car-free day.
The exit is on the north side. When walking towards the left side of the exit, you will go to Jalan M.H. Thamrin. While the right side will take you to Jalan Sabang.
3. Parking
You can park a car or motorcycle in several buildings around the festival arena. For example in the Ministry of Reigious Affairs building, Wisma Mandiri building, Jaya building, or MH Thamrin building.
4. Average food prices are IDR 30,000
Prepare your cash when you visit Bango Food Festival. On average, most booths sell their meal at IDR 30,000. The most expensive costs IDR 35,000. The desserts start at Rp20,000.
5. Toilets, musholla, and hand-washers
The festival area has a number of locations for washing hands and toilets, as well as prayer rooms. Each one is on the right and left side of the stage and scattered in the corners of the arena.
6. Free mineral water
The organizers of the event provide free mineral water. It can be found in the area near the dining table and chairs.
7. Come in the morning or night
If you do not want to sweat in the open area, you should come in the morning or night. Because, at noon, the heat of the sun will scorn visitors. The dust in the open arena will also feel more scattered.
8. Ask for a stamp to get soy sauce for free
After paying the entrance fee, you will get a fan. On the fan, there is a stamp board. Do not forget to ask for a stamp everytime you purchase foods from any booths. A full stamp board can be exchanged for free soy sauce.
