TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno claimed that progress of the construction of sports venues for the 2018 Asian Games is already at 95 percent.
"The [remaining] five percent will be [finished], No issue, everything is okay," said Sandiaga at the Gelora Bung Karno sports complex in Jakarta on Friday, April 13, 2018.
The Asian Games is a prestigious sports event held by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). Similar to the Olympics, the event is held every four years, and the 18th series of the event will be held in Jakarta and Palembang in 2018.
The 18th Asian Games, which will take place from 18 August to 2 September, 2018, will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex (GBK) in Jakarta and the Jakabaring Sports City in Palembang.
Some sports facilities that are being repaired by the Jakarta Administration includes the GBK, horse racing tracks, and the velodrome.
