TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan ensured the check of building compliance towards the rules on groundwater use, waste treatment, and infiltration wells, still continue. Factories in the industrial area in East and West Jakarta will be the next targets. Anies said the integrated monitoring team will conduct the inspection starting next Monday.
The length of inspection from one factory to another is scheduled for two weeks, as has been done at Sudirman and Thamrin on 12-21 March. “[It is] to ensure the principles in the rules are enforced," said Anies on Thursday, April 12.
Jakarta Administration raided 80 buildings in Sudirman-Thamrin area on 12-21 March.
It was a follow up of Governor Decree No. 279/2018 on the Establishment of Integrated Supervision Team for the Procurement of Infiltration Well and Installation of Wastewater Utilization and Utilization of Groundwater in Building and Housing.
Governor Anies Baswedan announced the finding of the inspection that the team could only raid 77 buildings, as one building was still in the finishing process (Sudirman Hill) and one had been destroyed (Wisma Sudirman). Another one, which is the Embassy of Germany, was not checked because it required a permit from Foreign Affairs Ministry.
