TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Democratic Party Chairman Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) publically aspired for his political party to sweep the 2019 general elections and return to being a party of the central government.
"There are two things that we would do if the Democratic Party becomes the governing party," said SBY during the inauguration of the party's Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the Jogja Expo Center on Monday, April 9, 2018.
The two government programs that SBY would reintroduce is the pro-people policy program, which was implemented back when SBY was President, both during the 2004-2009 period and the 2009-2014 period.
The other program SBY said to be re-applied is to continue President Joko Widodo's program that he personally feels have been beneficial to most people in Indonesia.
"President Jokowi's program must be continued and improved for the people's welfare," said SBY.
