TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission [KPK] has officially detained Jambi Governor Zumi Zola after the latter underwent questioning by the Indonesian graft-buster today. Zumi was seen leaving the KPK headquarters donning the KPK's orange vest for its suspects.
KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said Zumi would be detained for the next 20 days. “The suspect will be detained at KPK’s C1 detention center,” he said on Monday, April 9.
Zumi, who left the KPK headquarters at 06:48 pm, was accompanied by his lawyer and immediately entered the KPK's prisoner vehicle without making any comment to journalists.

Zumi Zola was questioned today as a suspect in a Rp6 billion bribery case surrounding the construction project permit in Jambi. KPK named Zumi as a suspect on February 2. Besides Zumi, the province's acting head of public works, Arfan, was also named suspect in the case.
KPK investigators alleged Zumi Zola and Arfan used the money to bribe a number of Jambi councilors to expedite the ratification of the province's draft budget [RAPDB].
