Ahmad Heryawan, or known as Aher, explained the meeting held yesterday at the Coordinating Ministry office was aimed to discuss the payment delay which affected by the discussion of the limited participation mutual fund (RDPT) and the state-owned airport operator PT AP II becoming the shareholder of PT BIJB.
“The fund is required to pay the debts of the existing development and its completion,” Aher stated.
The governor further explained the delay was due to the ongoing negotiation process. “It was not because we don’t have the money, it is in the process. The minister assured that and ask WIKA and PP to continuously build the airport completely. That’s all that we discussed, and we’re all agreed,” he added.
Governor Aher stated the debts on the development of Kertajati Airport terminal are at Rp600 billion. “The rest is about Rp250 billion. So it’s all finished at Rp850 billion,” he said.
