TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Firman Wijaya, the lawyer of e-KTP corruption case defendant Setya Novanto, expressed optimism that the justice collaborator (JC) request will be approved by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

The KPK prosecutor is scheduled to outline charges and verdicts in relation to the justice collaborator request. Setya Novanto, Firman claimed, is qualified as a justice collaborator as in accordance with the law.

According to Firman, below are several points that qualify Setya as a justice collaborator:

1. Setya admitted his crime.

2. Setya returned Rp5 billion. Firman explained that returning what is allegedly the result of a crime is one of the requirements to be a justice collaborator.

3. Setya wants to cooperate with the law enforcer. Setya encourages his nephew, Irvanto

Hendra Pambudi to cooperate with the law enforcers.

4. Setya is willing to testify.
