TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - The police delays in issuing the ticket to those violating the odd-even policy in Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, Tuesday, March 27, as stated by the police’s Highway Patrol (PJR).
“We will still evaluate the policy until the month’s end,” said PJR chief Comm. Deni Setiawan to Tempo in West Bekasi tollgate today.

Deni stated one of the reasons to delay the ticketing is because the violation has gradually decreased since the Green Line package implemented on March 12. That means the policy has well disseminated to the public.
Furthermore, the ticketing issue will be reconsidered its effectiveness by the related stakeholder at the end of the month. “The ticket is the last act, we will apply it if driver force to enter the highway,” said Deni.
According to Deni, vehicles which stopped by the police claimed to not knowing the policy as they were not Bekasi citizen or rarely going through Jakarta-Cikampek toll road via West Bekasi and East Bekasi toll gate. “Most of them (violating the policy) came from other regions, such as from Tangerang with vehicle plate A,” he said.
Not only to the violator of odd-even policy, the ticketing also did not apply to the heavy truck class of 3-5. The truck that found passing the highway will be forced to stop by the police at the rest area. “They are allowed to continue their way after nine,” Deni asserted.
