Ahok`'s Lawyer Yet Notified about on Judicial Review Rejection

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Josefina Agatha Syukur, the lawyer of former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok said she has not received the official notice from the Supreme Court about the rejection of her client's judicial review request. She refused to comment on the matter.
“Sorry, we cannot provide any comments because we have not received any official notification from the Supreme Court,” Josefina told Tempo on Monday, March 26.

Josefina explained about the procedures of an attorney to get an official answer from the Supreme Court.
“There should be a notice from the Supreme Court's verdict to be sent to the office. After that, we will take the copy of the verdict,” she said.
Today, the Supreme Court’s panel of judges handling Ahok’s judicial review led by Judge Artidjo Alkostar denied petition.

"The judges rejected Ahok’s judicial review request. The verdict will be rendered today," Supreme Court spokesperson Abdullah said.
Ahok was found guilty of committing a blasphemy and sentenced to two years in prison. Ahok is currently jailed at the National Police Mobile Brigade Detention Center in Depok, West Java.
