Police to Ticket Violators of Odd-Even Policy in Cikampek Toll

TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 27, police will start ticketing driver who violates the odd-even policy in Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.
“The implementation will take place after the toll gate of East Bekasi and West Bekasi,” said the police’s patrol unit I head Insp. Dua Syahbani in West Bekasi toll gate, Monday, March 26.
According to Syahbani, police has yet given the sanction of a ticket to those violating the policy thus far due to the holding of traffic operation dubbed Operasi Keselamatan Jaya 2018. “Today the operation is finished so we will start issuing the ticket,” he said.
Syahbani stated people has known about the odd-even policy in Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. The vehicle load has significantly reduced. “Today, only 12 vehicles has forced to make a u-turn.”
Previously, Ministry of Transportation established three package policies to ease the traffic congestion in Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. One of the policies is limiting heavy trucks above 3 class to operate along Cawang toll to West Karawang at 06:00-09:00 am.
The ministry also limiting private vehicle through odd-even policy in East Bekasi and West Bekasi toll gate. However, the government provided Transjabodetabek premium bus which priced at Rp20,000 in several departure points; Grand Dhika City (East Bekasi) and Mega City Bekasi (West Bekasi).
