TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stated the city administration will surely close 4Play Alexis Hotel. However, the closure is not today and no need to deploy 300 officers.
“Until last night at 12 a.m., I have pointed out that we do not need to deploy hundreds of officers, the closure will be done step by step,” said Anies Baswedan at Kempinski Hotel, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 22.

According to Anies, he is not able to detail the reason for closing down the karaoke place 4Play, formerly Alexis Hotel. As of date, that night entertainment spot is still operating as it has a legal permit.
“I have said it many times before that it [the closure] will be a surprise,” the governor said.
Anies Baswedan regretted the leak information about the disclosure today from the letter of Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP). “This is the example of indiscipline institution,” he asserted. “So those doing neglect I will control it,”
Earlier, a notice with a letterhead of Jakarta Satpol PP is circulated. Its content noted that on March 22, as many as 300 officers of Satpol PP and Indonesian military (TNI)/National Police (Polri) will be deployed to close down the Alexis.
