TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The continued divorce trial of Ahok against Veronica Tan held in North Jakarta District Court (PN), Wednesday, March 21.

The agenda of the trial of former Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok is the examination of the witness which had previously postponed.

"The agenda is the witness examination. For further development, just follow the trial," said North Jakarta District Court spokesman, Jootje Sampaleng, via short message to Tempo, Wednesday, March 21.

The trial on March 14 had to be postponed because the witness could not be presented. "One witness that we presented could not come.If next week the witness cannot come again, we will proceed to the conclusion," said Ahok's attorney, Josefina Agatha Syukur, in North Jakarta District Court on Wednesday last week.

Josefina confirmed that the trial would be the last trial for the agenda of examining witnesses. Until now, all the evidence and witnesses are sufficient according to her.

At the sixth trial, Wednesday, March 7, the witness who presented was the priest of the church where Ahok and Veronica worship. The priest with the initials Y was presented by Ahok as the plaintiff.

Ahok sent a divorce lawsuit to the North Jakarta District Court through his legal counsel, Josefina A. Syukur, and Fifi Lety Indra, on January 5, 2017.

Fifi explained that the divorce of Ahok and Veronica Tan was caused by the presence of a third person.
