TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned social service agency for workers BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Director Agus Susanto stated his company helped the funding of infrastructure development in the country. “We have invested Rp73 trillion to support in the infrastructure sector,” said Agus in vice presidential office, Wednesday, March 21.
Agus explained the expense was not in the form of direct investment but the company bought obligation documents disclosed by state-owned enterprises (BUMN) Karya.
“For example, when BUMN Karya planned to build a toll road, they disclosed obligation which then BPJS Ketenagakerjaan takes the document,” Agus said.
Agus stated as of January 31, the company has administered Rp320 trillion. The number was increased by 24 percent than January last year. He mentioned 81 percent of the funds was allocated in government-related investment as many as Rp73 trillion.
From the investment, Agus went on, the yield of investment that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan obtained was quite good which is at 14,9 percent per January 31 this year. He reasoned the interest was due to the adequate market condition.
