TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Public Relations Inspector General Setyo Wasisto said the former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY had been examined as a reporting witness in a defamation case by Advocate Firman Wijaya at his home, Cikeas.
"Mr. SBY has been examined," said Setyo at South Jakarta Police Headquarters, Tuesday, March 20.
Setyo confirmed that SBY was not examined at the Police's Criminal Investigation Department office. Setyo said it is allowed to anyone as a reporting witness.
Setyo said SBY might unable to attend to Bareskrim to provide information.

According to Setyo, the examination was conducted in early March, before the Democrat Party held a national leadership meeting in Sentul.
According to Setyo, as long as the rapporteur or witness can provide information, it does not matter if it is done at home or elsewhere.
"As long as he is healthy and can provide information, it is not a problem," he said.
Advocate Firman Wijaya was reported by SBY after his name, as the Democratic Party Chairman, was mentioned in the Setya Novanto’s trial of e-KTP corruption.
In the trial, the former Democratic Party politician Mirwan Amir who became a witness mentioned SBY's name after being asked continuously by Firman Wijaya.
In addition, SBY and the Democratic Party was mentioned by Firman Wijaya in the statement, that the e-KTP project is controlled by the Democratic Party. Setyo added as the reported, Firman Wijaya has not been called because he is still waiting for the examination result of the witness. "Still a witness, later as the reported," he said.
