Sandiaga Uno Gives Sanction to Pasar Rumput Flats Contractor

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said that the Jakarta Administration will evaluate the development project of Pasar Rumput flats, South Jakarta. The work accident that resulted in the death of Tarminah should be checked again, the workplace safety and the health equipment (K3) also.
"Today we immediately ask the Head of Department of Manpower Mr. Priyo, he just finished training at Puncak, Bogor, for the K3 evaluation, it will be reported to us this afternoon. The evaluation and investigation results," said Sandiaga Uno at City Hall Monday 19 March.

According to Sandiaga, the process of temporary evaluation continues and as the emphasis that the incident will not reoccur. The information on the accident, it often occurred in the location. “Not only keep doing the evaluation. Someone should be responsible," he said.
A woman, Turminah, 53, who was shopping for vegetables at Pasar Rumput, died after her head was struck by a long iron pipe with a 3 meter long, it fell from the 10th floor on March 18 at 09:00 am.
Sandiaga will give sanction to the contractor for the incident. It will be publicized to encourage the contractor to improve further security.
"I ask the Head of Department of Manpower, I know it's hard to find a job, there is a mother, her name is Istiqomah, I see, it is lack of safety and supervision. Why not create jobs by adding one or two posts for the safety," he said.
Head of 004 Community Unit 004 Pasar Manggis, Muhammad Dopi, said that the flats which was built since the era of former Governor Ahok has caused several accidents to local residents. Last week, said Dopi, a woman named Laila, suffered injuries while shopping for vegetables at a traditional market located just next to the flats project.
