Depok PDAM To Temporarily Stop Water Supply Tonight

TEMPO.CO, Depok - Depok tap water operator (PDAM) Tirta Asasta announced that the water supply will be cut for 8 hours starting today, March 19 at 21:00 pm until 05:00 am on Tuesday, March 20.

The temporary stop is enforced due to the planning project of 550mm diameter pipe tapping in Water Management Installation (IPA) Citayam. "The 550mm pipe will be tapped to the 250mm pipe and it will affect the water supply," said Deputy General Director of Depok PDAM Tirta Asasta Sulaeman as confirmed by Tempo on Sunday, March 18.

Sulaeman explained several areas will fall to the impact include Jalan Raya Sawangan (Permata Depok Complex, Puri Depok Mas, Hasanah Village, Poin Mas, Maharaja, Bumi Pancoranmas, Villa ANRI, Vila Mutiara Cinere, Mampang Indah 2, Depok Jaya Agung, Rangkepan Jaya, BDN Complex, Arco , Puri Anggrek Mas, Marine Housing, Puri Pelita, Villa Casablanca, Sawangan Permai, Housing Perumnas 1, Perumnas Depok, Graha Andika, Pondok Sukmajaya, Griya Lembah Depok Utara) and along Jalan Margonda Raya.

Sulaeman claimed Depok PDAM had provided a circular notice in advance either directly or indirectly to the community. "So, PDAM subscribers are expected to accommodate clean water for themselves prior to the temporary cut of water supply," he said.
