TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Agus Raharjo stated some obstacles has affected corruption convicts in returning state loss. He stated many corruptors had yet settled the payment.

The corruptors’ asset that had been seized could not put on auction due to the absence of the documents or other problems. “We hoped this synergy will solve the issues,” said Agus at Finance Ministry Office, Wednesday, March 14.

The statement was conveyed at MoU singing event between Finance Ministry, Attorney General's Office, and KPK concerning the auction of confiscated goods from Attorney General and KPK as to pay back the state loss.

Finance minister Sri Mulyani explained the collaboration include coordination on the implementation of the auction for criminal act and other assets. The seized items to be auctioned are assets that have required formal legal. Sri argued the law on auction had been stipulated ages ago thus it did not represent current condition.

According to Sri, the auction profits is not only for the state income but also to solve law issues and non-performing loan in the bank. “The auction is a win-win solution to the state economy,” she said.

At the event, Sri Mulyani launched an auction website of Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) to ease people get the auction information and service. However, the regulation on the seized assets from General Attorney and KPK has been stipulated in Ministerial Decree of Finance Ministry No. 13/PMK.06/2018.
