Setya Novanto Admits Nephew to be e-KTP Bribe Intermediary

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Chairman of the House Setya Novanto admitted his nephew as well as President Director of PT Murakabi Sejahtera, Irvanto Hendra Pambudi Cahyo, to be the intermediary bribe of the e-KTP project. He said, his colleague, Andi Agustinus alias Andi Narogong, never entrusted the bribes through Irvanto.
“There are some (people) who asked by Andi (Narogong) to deliver it (project money),” Setya said in the Corruption Court of Jakarta, Monday, March 12.

The information revealed by the two witnesses in Setya’s trial, the marketing PT Inti Valuta Money Changer, Riswan alias Iwan Barala, and Irvanto's men named Muhammad Nur alias Ahmad. Both admitted the money delivery up to US$ 3.5 million to Irvanto.
In the indictment, Setya was also mentioned to receive US$ 3.8 million through the two companies in Singapore owned by his colleague, Made Oka Masagung, the OEM Investment Pte. Ltd. and Delta Energy Pte. Ltd.
In addition, Setya received money from Irvanto worth US$ 3.5 million on January 19 to February 2012. KPK has set Made as a suspect of e-KTP corruption project along with Irvanto.
“Irvanto was promised a consortium job, the amount of money from (specified) Andi who then delivered to me,” said Setya, the former Chairman of the Golkar Party.
Muhammad Nur alias Ahmad said Irvanto used a liquor code to divide the project fee to the political party in the DPR.
"I just saw the code written on a sheet of paper, but I do not see the division," Ahmad said. "I only remember the last one for that (DPR) about the US$ 2 million."

Riswan alias Iwan Barala said that he delivered US$ 3.5 million in three stages to Irvanto through Ahmad. According to him, it took place at Irvanto's residence. "I am the only messenger who delivered it," Riswan said.
"There are many names we have mentioned in the indictments and demands, there are three clusters (suspects), namely government, parliament and the private sector," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah.
Setya Novanto's nephew, Irvanto has been a prisoner at the Military Police Jaya Guntur detention center since 9 March.
