TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The defendant in the case of electronic identity card (e-KTP) graft Setya Novanto said he never cooperated with a doctor of Medika Permata Hijau Hospital, Bimanesh Sutarjo, for himself to have sick status to avoid the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

On November 16, Setya said that he did have a head injury due to an accident until unconscious.

Setya claimed he did not know Bimanesh and only met once. “I met him when I was unconscious, I woke up and suddenly there was him. We chatted for two minutes and then I did not get to meet him again,” he said before undergoing the trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta on Thursday, March 8.
