TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Further divorce trial of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok with Veronica Tan held again with agenda of witness examination at North Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, March 7. The attorney, Ahok’s sister, Fifi Lety Indra, said one of the witnesses to be questioned is a pastor.

“Today, the trial agenda is still the witness examination, the witness is a priest with the initials Y,” said Fifi in North Jakarta District Court on Wednesday.

The previous trial was still in the witness examination stage. It was held on 28 February and presented the two witnesses, namely Nathanael and Rini. Both are relatives and staff members who have known Ahok for 21 years.

In the previous trial, neither Ahok nor Veronica Tan was present. Ahok only entrusted a letter to the panel of judges through Fifi.

“The letter said, Mr. Ahok handed the verdict to the judge, he will not be present,” said Fifi. According to Fifi, the judge will consider Ahok’s statement through the letter.

Ahok’s divorce case against Veronica Tan stood out in early January. At that time, the divorce lawsuit and custody by Ahok against Veronica Tan allegedly circulated. The letter was filed on Friday, January 5.
