TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An earthquake hit the island of Java again on Friday, February 16. At 12:13 local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale hit Lebak, Banten.
The quake’s epicenter was at the South Indian Ocean, 24 kilometers below sea level, the BMKG stated.
“At 133 kilometers southwest of Lebak Regency, Banten Province,” BMKG spokesman Daryono said in a written statement, Friday.

No tsunami warning has been issued.
"To the people of Lebak regency and surrounding areas, we advise you to remain calm and not be affected by rumors that cannot be clarified,” Daryono said.
