Por Que No Restaurant, A Romantic Dinner On Valentine`s Day

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Already planning a romantic dinner for Valentine’s Day on February 14, which is today? If you have not found a suitable place, there is a restaurant called the Por Que No Restaurant, located in Menteng, Jakarta, that you can try.

The restaurant was build on the rooftop of De Ritz Building. The room inside provides a formal dining atmosphere. The tables and chairs are laid out in a row. Visitors will be surrounded by an artistic interior.

On the walls, the pieces of colored pencils made up the abstract patterns. It is inserted into a glass vase and placed on one side of the room. Different hues fill the inside part of the room.

While the space outside provides the more relaxed atmosphere with a beach sofa that is placed erratically. From there, visitors can observe the city landscape or cityscape at night. The city lights would sweep the view.

There is a small bar in the room that splits the outside and inside of the restaurant. There, visitors can order a variety of rum or alcoholic beverages of fermentation and molasses distillation.

Beside the bar, there is a small stage. Usually used by the musicians to perform jazz songs live. At certain moments, like New Year, it is also used for disc jockeys or DJs.

Por Que No serves Tapas menu, it is from the Spaniards eating culture.

It refers to a variety of foods that served in small portions. The snacks that are poured into the bowl are usually eaten by people who gather to dine and drink, whether alcohol, juice, or coffee.

One of the eye-catching tapas menus is the Arbol de Aceitunas Alinadas. It looks like an apple tree. The fruits are olives. There is a sensation of sour, salty, and savory mixed together. The way to eat it is like picking fruits from a tree.

There is also Calamaras en su Tinta, the black-squid sauce packed in a tiny glass container. The pieces are so many, enough for 2 or 3 people. When the lid of the container is opened, the smell of typically processed seafood spreads, very fragrant and makes the appetite increase.

If you want to have dinner in here, come late in the afternoon. Because, late in the night, the strategic seats that face directly to the cityscape would have been fully charged.
