BPN Blocks 300 Land Plots For Soekarno-Hatta Airport Runway 3

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - National Land Agency (BPN) of Tangerang Regency blocked 300 land plots that will be built for runway 3 of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport due to a dispute over the land's ownership.

Hundreds of the dispute land plots are located in Rawa Rengas and Rawa Burung, Tangerang, two of three villages that will be evicted.

According to the Head of Tangerang Land Procurement Sugiyadi, the land plots are 2.5 hectares in Rawa Rengas, claimed by 81 people, 3 hectares in Rawa Rengas, claimed by 90 people, 2 hectares in Rawa Burung, claimed by 36 people and 2 hectares in Rawa Burung, claimed by 21 people. They have the evidence of land certificates and property tax payments, he said.

Sugiyadi denied if the mutual claims occurred due to overlapping certificates or multiple land certificates. It can be solved by mediation between the parties or through the consignment of the Court, he said. He stated that the number is growing, in December BPN has blocked 253 land plots.
