Police Has Yet Reveal BNN Head Budi Waseso`s Substitute

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police has not revealed the candidate to replace the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Head Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso or Buwas. According to the National Police spokesperson, Martinus Sitompul, the candidate names will soon be submitted to President Joko Widodo.
"The recommendation will be given to the president before pak Budi retires per April 1," Martinus said at the Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, on Friday, Feb. 9.

Budi Waseso's term of work will be ended in March. Martinus said that since BNN and Police have similar duties, his office will then prepare a name.
Martinus said that even though there are already several recommendations, but the discussion on the official candidates has yet to take place in the Board of National Higher Ranked Police.
The requirement to be proposed as the Head of BNN is a two-star general who can be promoted to three-star.
Previously, several names circulated to replace Budi 'Buwas' Waseso, namely the Head of Criminal Investigation Police Comr. Gen. Ari Dono Sukmanto, Assistant Operations Chief of Police Inspector General Muhammad Iriawan and Deputy Eradication of BNN Irjen Arman Depari.
