TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Veronica Tan, wife of the former Jakarta governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok, was absent again in the divorce trial held at North Jakarta District Court (PN Jakarta Utara) on Wednesday, February 7. Until the trial began at 10:30 am, she or even her attorney did not come.
Ahok's lawyer, Fifi Lety Indra, said Veronica will not attend. She also has not appointed a lawyer to represent.
Fifi did not explain the reason for Veronica’s absence. However, she gave her a letter.

The contents of the letter same with the letter which Veronica sent to her during the trial last week. “The content is about accepting all the best decision from the judges,” she said.
It is the second time Veronica did not attend the trial. Previously, she did not attend at her first divorce trial on Wednesday, January 31.
At the current trial, she just sent a letter to Fifi. It contained a statement that she would hand over all the best decisions to the panel of judges. Due to her absence, the judges then decided to postpone the trial until February 7.
