TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - There are many benefits that you can get if you routinely do an exercise such as running. According to sports health specialist Harlo Tilarso, running is one of many exercises that can help you lose weight since it exercises multiple parts of the body.
Harlo Tilarso explained seven benefits of running during the Run Clinic event held on February 3 in Jakarta.
1. Improves heart and lungs ability. The heart will work when you do an activity and running can help the organ pumping more blood volume to the body.
2. Increases muscle ability, especially in legs and feet, because these areas work the most when you are running.
3. Burns fat and weight in general. Fat can only be burned by doing aerobic activities such as running, swimming, and bicycling.
4. Reduces blood sugar level.
5. Increases the diameter of blood veins which will boost blood circulation in your body.
6. Reduces the risk of suffering a heart attack in the future because running increases the health of the heart.
7. Decreases osteoporosis risks because running help builds bone density.
