TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - State airport operator Angkasa Pura II confirmed that there is no build-up of passengers at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train station after the train’s operations were halted by the landslide.

The landslide took place on a road that underpasses the airport’s train railway and was inoperable since Monday evening up to Tuesday noon, February 6.

“There is no build-up of passengers, the situation at the Airport Station is normal,” said Haerul Anwar, Branch Communication Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Tuesday, February 6.

Haerul suspects that the public is already aware of the situation and condition following an announcement from KAI, stating that the airport train is temporarily inoperable. Angkasa Pura II has redirected people to use other modes of public transportation available.

Haerul also confirmed that the Skytrain is operating as normal.

In a separate occasion, Railink spokeswoman Diah Suryandari said that the landslide near the airport railway has affected three trips of the 7157 KA Basoetta train that was stuck at the Basoetta Station, while KA 7156 and KA 7160 were stuck at Batuceper Station.

As the operator of the Soekarno-Hatta airport train, Railink offered their apologies to the public for the inconvenience caused by the landslide. Passengers that had their trip canceled can apply for a refund by sending an email to info@railink.co.id or by contacting Railink employees directly at the train station.
