TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The list of airways with the best on-time performance was announced by Transportation Ministry in line with reports collected by Indonesian Consumers Foundation (YLKI).
A researcher from YLKI Sularsi stated that five airways named the most on-time performance in 2017 rarely get complaints from passengers. "Those airways did receive very few complaints," he said on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Sularsi revealed that Lion Air receives the highest number of complaints in terms of their tardiness. Based on data released by the Ministry, Lion Air placed seventh in On Time Performance (OTP) with 88.53 percent and the total flights of 200,918, and 177,875 on-time performance. "We need to question the percentage of OTP for Lion Air," he said.
The Ministry announced that Nam Air recorded 92.62 percent of OTP with 29.832 on time flights. The remaining four airways includeSriwijaya Air (88.69 percent), Batik Air (88.66 percent), Garuda Indonesia (88.53 percent), and Citilink (88.33 percent).
Such OTP figures are pretty high and have met minimum target that was set. Nevertheless, for Garuda, that frequently championed OTP, its position fell due to problems of serious scheduling crew that already went back to normal.
