TEMPO.CO, Bratislava - Slovakians are still placing Bali at its top travel destination. The situation at Mount Agung has not deterred Slovaks from visiting the island.
This can be seen from the many questions about Bali asked by visitors of the International Travel Fair (ITF) Slovakiatour 2018 at the Expo Incheba building in Bratislava (ITF Slovakiatour 2018 ) from Jan. 25-28.
More than 20 countries participated in the ITF Slovakiatour 2018, among them Indonesia and Thailand.

The Indonesian Ambassador to Slovakia Adiwoso Asmady said in a press release on Thursday that Slovakians are also aiming to visit Sumatra.
The Indonesian Embassy in Bratislava invited Sumatra tour operators Ravelino Tour dan Dewi-Mustika Tour to promote tourism spots in the province, especially Lake Toba and its surrounding areas.

According to the Immigration Directorate, the number of tourists from Slovakia continued to increase in the past five years. In 2016, 6,629 visits were recorded.
To follow up on the ITF Slovakiatour 2018, the embassy and the Foreign Affairs Ministry will hold a business-to-business meeting between Indonesia's tourism industry actors and Slovakia's. The meeting is scheduled to take place in the second week of February in Bratislava.
