TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned toll operator PT Jasa Marga targeted to operate South Jakarta-Cikampek II toll road in 2020. "This toll road will begin construction in December 2018," AVP Corporate Communication Dwimawan Heru said on Saturday (27/1).

Heru stated that South Jakarta-Cikampek II toll road Selatan is built as a solution to frequent congestion in Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. He expects the toll road to serve as an alternative route. "From Jakarta to Bandung or vice versa," he went on.

Heru explained that the project South Jakarta-Cikampek II toll road will be managed by a subsidiary of PT Jasa Marga which is PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan (JJS). He revealed that the project has investment value of Rp 14.7 trillion. "PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan will run the 64-km-long toll road," he added.

The toll road later will span from Jatiasih to Sadang. The shares of this toll road are 80 percent owned by PT Jasa Marga consortium and 20 percent by PT Wira Nusantara Bumi.
