One of the improvements is to replace the two tourist trains. Later, the trains will be replaced with 10 electric cars. Arista stated that they are not only dedicated for Asian Games 2018, but also for the Indonesian people.
Facilities at Monas, such as the National History Museum, the Independence Room, and the Peak Square, will remain the same. Arista stated that those buildings are cultural heritages that must be preserved.

The Monas operator also plans to provide a small stage beside the elevator to the observatory. The stage will be used to provide entertainment for visitors who are lining up to use the elevator.
Until yesterday, no special preparation had been arranged to welcome the Asian Games in Monas. However, on the southwest side (beside Horse Statue) and northwest (across the Merdeka Palace) the mascot of Asian Games has been installed. One of the tourist trains has also been fitted with the Asian Games logo.
