TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Citilink said it will divert eight of its flights from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to Soekarno Hatta Airport today, January 19. Vice President Corporate Communication Citilink Indonesia Benny Butarbutar said the diversion is done due to the handover of the new Air Force Chief of Staff event which will take place in the military`s Halim Perdanakusumah Airport.
Benny said the flights en route to Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang, Denpasar, and Kualanamu at 06:45 to 09:00 a.m. Indonesia Western Time will be temporarily diverted. "Based on the notice to airmen at Halim, at least 8 flights will be diverted," he told Tempo on Thursday.

He said that there will be no delayed flights from Citilink, only a change in the departure from Halim Perdanakusuma to Soekarno Hatta Airport.
The departures from Halim Perdanakusuma to Yogyakarta, Malang, Denpasar, and Medan will be diverted to Soekarno Hatta at the mentioned hours. "The arrivals from Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, and Denpasar will also be diverted to Soekarno Hatta," Benny said.
He said that Citilink has informed all the prospective passengers following the issue.
National Armed Forces Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto today will conduct the handover of the new Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Yuyu Sutisna. The event is scheduled to start at 07:30 a.m. in Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
