TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The latest cross-over compact Datsun Cross comes with a 1200cc engine coded HR12DE with a three-cylinder configuration. The machine is actually similar to their previous product, Datsun GO+, with the difference in the power it generates.
Cross is equipped with 68hp power for the variant with manual transmission, while the CVT transmission variant is capable to produce 78hp power. The machine can produce maximum torque of 104Nm.
The car is moving through the front wheel drive (FWD). For the manual transmission variant, the engine is combined with five accelerations. As for the CVT variant, Datsun claims it has better performance and lighter than the conventional automatic transmission.
In the release, Datsun claims the use of the smaller pulley and wub planetary gear simultaneously can produce multiple effects in responsive performance from the starting point and at low speed.
CVT technology also produces higher fuel efficiency. It is because the gearshift is light and smooth.
Fuel efficiency is also supported by circular bore honing technique that serves to maintain tolerance at a very minimum level. Meanwhile, oil and water pump with low friction can minimize the loss to waste power.
Besides, the Datsun Cross fuel efficiency is also improved by higher compression ratio, concave piston, and the fuel injection that split into smaller atoms.
