Indonesia vs Iceland: Iceland Plans Different Strategy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Icelandic national football team is set to face the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) in the international friendlies at the Gelora Bung Karno stadium on Sunday, January 14.

Iceland plans to play a different strategy compared to their last game on Thursday against the Indonesia Selection at the Maguwoharjo stadium. Indonesia was beaten 0-6 to Iceland.

“Playing against Indonesia Selection and playing against Indonesia’s national team are clearly two different things that we must underline,” said Iceland’s national team coach Heimir Hallgrimsson.

According to Hallgrimsson, their team has prepared a different strategy to face the Indonesian national team. He admits that his team will pay extra attention towards the speed and prominent individual skills of the Timnas.

“We will face a much tougher challenge in the Indonesian national football team, and that’s what we are waiting for,” said Hallgrimsson.

Indonesia Selection coach Robert Rene Albert stated that their game against Iceland already portrays the strength of the team that will participate in the 2018 World Cup.
