TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said he will not buy new area to build a replacement hospital for Sumber Waras Hospital. "I think we will use the existing area only," said Sandiaga Uno at City Hall, Central Jakarta, on Monday, January 8, 2018.
Sandiaga admitted that he would order the head of the relevant department to find the vacant area in Jakarta. Besides in Jakarta area, Sandiaga believes that private-owned area can also use to be collaborated with the Jakarta government to build hospitals.
"The provincial government can work together in a partnership concept to bring the hospital that a lot of people awaited," he said.
According to Sandiaga, the financing scheme for building hospitals continues using the Government Cooperation with Business Entities (KPBU), previously has planned in the Sumber Waras Hospital area.
The previous DKI government could not build a hospital in Sumber Waras Hospital area. Therefore, the purchase of 3.6 hectares of the area was found by Supreme Audit Agency. The area is purchased in the era of Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok with the price Rp755 billion, which refers to the tax object selling value (NJOP) of Rp20.7 million per square meter.
However, the BPK audit result stated that the procedure of purchasing part of Sumber Waras Hospital is against the rules, so there is an indication of state loss of Rp191 billion.
