TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has asked Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti to stop sinking the ship again this year. "That’s enough," said Luhut in his office, Jakarta, on Monday, January 8, 2018.
According to Luhut, later the ships that violate the rules will not be sunk in. However, the ships will be seized. "We do not want the ships just to be stranded," he said.
Luhut said that the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi also did not want the ships to stop operating just like that. That, according to him, has been occurred for the past three years.
"Now we want to see ahead, people already know that our country is firm," he said.
Luhut said the sinking will not stop immediately. According to him, it is not impossible sinking the ship will be done again. "It might be if there are specific violations, but not like before," he said.
On the other hand, Luhut said that this year the government will focus on increasing the production. It aims to increase exports. "We focus on how to increase exports," he said.
