TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan claimed that the one-price fuel policy, included in the national strategic program, has been fully realized.

“The one-price fuel is the sole program by the ESDM that has been achieved 100 percent,” said Jonan on Monday, January 8.

Jonan explained that the government and Pertamina had successfully realized the one-price fuel policy in 54 locations in the outer regions by December 2017. He expects that the policy can be introduced in other 54 locations in 2018.

The one-price fuel policy is scheduled to last until 2019. Jonan hopes that the Ministry will be able to reach 150 locations as planned.

“We hope we can reach all 150 locations or districts by 2019. This is a three-year program which cannot be done in a year considering the areas cannot be easily accessed,” he said.

AKR Corporindo is responsible for distributing and providing 1.6 percent of the total amount of the one-priced fuel, or 250,000 kiloliters throughout Indonesia for the 2018-2022 period. Meanwhile, Pertamina is tasked to distribute 15.98 million kiloliters of fuel which account for 91.9 percent of the distribution.
