TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An Australian tourist named Clinton James Dally (37) was found dead in a hotel room in Legian, Bali.
"We received the report on Saturday (6/1) at around noon and he was already dead at that time," Kita Police chief Comr. I Nyoman Wirajayasaid in Denpasar on Saturday.
He stated that the police would further investigate the cause of death. Based on temporary investigation, police found cigarette, alcohol and medicine for headache in the room.
He explained the chronology of the incident. At 11 a.m. Dally and a witness named Ketut Kartika (30) from Klungkung regency went to Kuta Art market and went back to the hotel.
In the hotel, Dally had a headache and took a medicine called Panadol containing active paracetamol. He went straight to the bathroom and got into the tub. Moments later he shouted calling Kartika and he lied on the bad on his back.
Kartika asked the hotel to call a doctor from BIMC Hospital. The doctor gave him medical aid by providing oxygen and pumped his chest, but he died minutes later.
After he was pronounced dead, Dally’s body was brought to Sanglah General Hospital for autopsy.
