2017 State Revenue from Upstream Oil, Gas Sector Exceeds Target

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Special Task Force for the Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) still recorded positive results in state revenue despite the fact that a number of sectors in upstream oil and gas failed to reach the target in 2017. Head of SKK Migas Amien Sunaryadimentioned that upstream oil and gas contributed US$13.1 billion of revenue.
The amount, he continued, exceeded government’s target in 2017 revised state budget (APBN) as much as US$12.2 billion.

"The performance reached around 108 percent of the government’s target," Amien stated in Jakarta on Friday, January 5.
In total, the revenue of oil and gas sector in 2017 hit US$29.19 billion. The profit was later divided into three for the government, the contractor and cost recovery. Out of US$29.19 billion, the contractor received US$4.73 billion or 7.9 percent higher than the prior at US$4.38 billion.
