Djoko revealed that citizen-level cybersecurity program has always been President Jokowi’s vision for the country.
Entering the political year of 2018, Djoko said that there were no specific orders from Jokowi regarding cybersecurity. He explained that the presence of BSSN since it was established in 1946 as the National Encryption Agency, has never taken sides to any political party in the country and claimed that BSSN is not controlled by any party.
Djoko explained that the focus of the BSSN is to monitor and maintain the situation in the cyber realm in becoming a more calmer and secure place where the process of politics can produce greater options.
“How the technology is used, controlling the madness of the cyber world. It is so vast. But inshallah (hopefully) the cyber agency will be able to control it,” said Djoko after he was inaugurated by President Jokowi.
