Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train Fare Set at Rp70,000

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Soekarno-Hatta Airport train fare is set at Rp70,000. Meanwhile, reserve seats are available at Rp77,000.

“The tariff of Rp70,000 is subsidized fare determined by Railink,” Soekarno-Hatta Airport Station head Siswanto said in Tangerang on Tuesday, January 2.

Airport operator earlier conducted trial runs from December 26 to January 1 during which the ticket price was set at Rp30,000 per seat.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Soekarno-Hatta Airport train today in Tangerang together with SOE Minister Rini Sumarno and Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi.

“After three years of hard work, it can finally be unveiled. Airport train is one of many modes of transport that can reduce traffic jam,” Jokowi said today in the inauguration event at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang.

Jokowi, Budi Karya and Rini Sumarno had a tour at the airport before departing for Sudirman Baru Station, Central Jakarta, 10 minutes later.
