TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Narcotics Police officers have shot 21 drug dealers to death in 2017.
"Jakarta Police have imposed strict measures against drug dealers," Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Idham Azis said in Jakarta on Saturday, Dec. 30.

Idham mentioned that the overall number of drug dealers in Indonesia receiving strict legal measures from the Police is 54 suspects, but most of them as much as 48 percent were processed under Jakarta’s jurisdiction.

Furthermore, Idham revealed that narcotic cases in Jakarta in 2017 reached 6,087, or 14 percent higher than those of 2016 with 5,333 cases.
